Rosemary graduated from Campbell University in December 1982 (Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a concentration in Computer Science. She worked two years with ComputerLand, as a computer sales associate.
She began her career as an IT Recruiter in 1985 with VIP Personnel, Inc. She specialized in the recruitment and placement of IBM System 38 and AS/400 Developers. In 1987, Rosemary became a CERTIFIED PERSONNEL CONSULTANT (CPC). One has to work two years in the recruiting industry and pass a two-part exam (one part is legal, and one part is more general).
Rosemary started with Ashley Personnel in 1990 as a Vice President and IT Recruiter. During her 8+ years with them, she continued placing IBM AS/400 professionals. She also expanded her specializations to include Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Business Analysts, and other Developers.
Rosemary opened Smith Personnel Services, Inc. in December 1998. She has continued to specialize in the recruitment and placement of Information Technology professionals. Now, she handles all types of IT positions, including Application Developers, Business Analysts, Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, Web Developers, Project Managers, Database Analysts, Systems Engineers, Systems Analysts, IT Managers, IT Directors, etc.
Areas of technology that she recruits and places for: AS/400 (iSeries) with RPG ILE, Free; IT security, cybersecurity, and compliance; C#; SQL server and Oracle; Java/J2EE; EDI; PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Active Directory, SAN, Virtualization, Networking; and SSRS, SSIS, SSAS among others.
Rosemary has continued to achieve success throughout her 38+ years in the recruiting business. She was awarded numerous “Round Table” awards from the North Carolina Association of Personnel Services. The Round Table awards are given to individuals who achieved a specific level of individual production.
